Provide remedial education to children in an interesting way: Dr. Alok Shukla

Raipur, Jan 30: Principal Secretary School Education Department, Dr. Alok Shukla has said that teachers should provide remedial education in an interesting manner to children who are weak in education. He asked the teachers to inform the students about the subject matter by example related to daily life during studies. He said that children should come to read, write and solve mathematics questions. Our entire focus should be on learning, its assessment should be completed by the month of March. Dr. Shukla was addressing teachers and officials at the state level webinar organized on assessment and remedial teaching at the State Educational Research and Training Council. More than one lakh teachers participated in the webinar.
Principal Secretary School Education Dr. Shukla said that the ultimate goal of teachers is not to assess, but to provide remedial education to those children. He said that a target program of 100 day’s should be conducted for weak children in education. In this program, every effort should be made to make all the children of the state studying in primary and secondary school achieve minimum proficiency in Hindi language and Mathematics.
Mission Director and Director Composite Education, Jitendra Shukla, who was present in the state-level webinar, stressed the need to work thoughtfully to the level of children. He directed the relatives present in the webinar to go up to the level of children and explain them easily. How to add children to the new classes in the new learning session so that the learning output can be tailored to that class.
Director SCERT D. Rahul Venkat gave detailed guidelines on remedial teaching to the teachers of the state. Additional Director of SCERT, Mr. Yogesh Shivhare, Assistant Director of Composite Education Dr. M. Sudhish, Mr. CPR of SCERT. Sahu, Mrs Vidya Dangi threw light on the process of remedial teaching in mathematics and language education. Satyaraj Iyer and Ajay Verma gave information about technical aspects of remedial teaching.
