Proposals worth Rs 267 cr for devp from minerals sanctioned

Raipur, Sep 07: In the meeting of Mineral Development Fund Advisory Committee (MDFAC) chaired by Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel today, proposals worth Rs 267 crore related to the development of minerals were approved. These proposals are related to various projects of Mineral Resources Department and Chhattisgarh State Mineral Development Corporation.
Presently, 5% of the amount mineral revenue received by state government every year is allocated for Mineral Development Fund. This fund is utilized for the development of minerals in the state and for exploration of new mining areas etc. The proposals approved in the meeting include proposals for development of Kerwa coal block, Iron Ore Deposit-4, exploration of new areas of bauxite, survey of minerals and upgrade of online mineral portal operated for mineral activities.
In the meeting, Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain, Secretary to Chief Minister Siddharth Komal Singh Pardeshi, Secretary of Mineral Resources Department Anbalagan P, Secretary of Finance Department Alarmelmangai D, Chief General Manager of Chhattisgarh State Mineral Development Corporation J.K. Pashene, Additional Director of Mineral Resources Department Mahesh Babu were present.
