Over Rs 44 cr recovered through check posts in last 6 months

Raipur, Feb 23: The check posts that remained closed in the state since July 17, 2020 were restarted, said Transport Minister Md Akbar in a written reply to the question of BJP MLA and former Minister Brijmohan Agrawal in Chhattisgarh Assembly today.
Raising the issue of revenue earned through check posts during question hour Agrawal asked Transport Minister when check posts in the state were restarted.
He also sought to know the amount recovered through check posts, number of workers deployed in check posts. Agrawal also asked whether Dharamkanta (weighing scales) were available in check posts or not. In his reply the Transport Minister Md Akbar said that check posts remaining closed since July 17, 2020 were restarted. He said that all 16 check posts were functioning without weighing scales. He said that an amount of Rs 44 crore 76 lakh 79 thousand 857 was recovered through check posts in last 6 months and 13 days. He said that regular employees of 70 departments 10 home guard staff and 32 daily wagers were deployed in barriers.
