Oppn creates din over corruption in Gandhi’s statue

Raipur, Mar 05: It was during the Zero-Hour in Vidhan Sabha on Friday, the members of Opposition charged of massive corruption in installation of Mahatma Gandhi’s statue in the State secretariat. BJP MLA Brijmohan Agrawal demanded discussion on this issue. BJP MLA Ajay Chandrakar also charged of corruption in installation of Gandhi’s statue in secretariat and said what else can be more unfortunate than this.
Actually the members of Opposition by moving this issue during Zero-Hour in the House wanted to hold discussions taking it as an adjournment motion.
BJP MLA Brijmohan Agrawal charged that the very statue of Mahatma Gandhi installed in the state secretariat is an old statue and alleged that this old statue has been unveiled as well.
The state government has issued notices to two employees in this regard. The artists who has made this statue has not even being paid for his labour work and employees are being issued notices, whereas it is the officers who are actually responsible. The Chair turned down the adjournment motion. On this the Leader of Opposition in VS Dharamlal Kaushik termed it as highly unfortunate and asked to put all fact together and sought permission to hold discussions on the same in the House.
This resulted in pandemonium in the House and due to which the House was adjourned for five minutes.
