NSS volunteers organize plantation drive

Kutchery Chowk , Raipur based Smt. Pramila Gokuldas Daga Girls College organized a massive plantation drive at the Boriya Khurd, situated new campus by the NSS unit of the College.

Member of Legislative Assembly  (MLA) from Raipur Rural Satyanarayan Sharma was the chief guest of the event and the president of college council Ajay Tiwari presided over the function.

Blessing the students, chief guest of the program Satyanarayan Sharma said that the forest wealth plays an important role in human lives; it not only makes Environment healthy but also boost the economy of the area. He further stated that the Chhattisgarh state is rich in forest resources and the role of youth is very important as they have to conserve it despite urbanization.

At the same time president of the event Tiwari asked students to take care of the plants they have planted and make the campus famous for its greenery.

To witness the occasion other guests present were donor member Daga college Gokuldas Daga, social worker from Jaipur KK Sharma, Farmer sarpanch boriya khurd  Ramadhar Sahu, member of college council RK Gupta, president scout guide of Suresh Shukla,  Sudhir Mukharji, ward  Corporater  Nirmalkar of along with principal of the college Dr. Sangeeta Ghai, NSS officer Ms Durga Chandrakar and all the faculty members of the college.
