New district will be known as Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur: CM

Raipur, Aug 21: Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said today that newly announced Mahendragarh district would be named as Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur district. In a programme organized at the Chief Minister’s residence, people from Sakti and Manendragarh districts expressed their gratitude towards the Chief Minister Baghel for announcement of a new district. The people of Manendragarh welcomed the Chief Minister with a crown. The citizens also presented him letters of felicitation on the occasion.
People from both the newly declared districts and representatives of various organizations also expressed their gratitude to the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, Dr Charan Das Mahant for the creation of new districts. Given the enthusiasm of the people of these areas one can imagine the atmosphere filled with jubilation and habbiness prevailing in these areas, Baghel said while addressing to the people of both the newly declared districts. With creation of new districts, development works would be carried out speedily in these areas, he said.
Keeping in view the demand and sentiments of the people of Manendragarh, the Chief Minister announced to rename the newly declared Manendragarh district as Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur. He said that Chhattisgarh is the 9th largest state in the country geographically, with sparse population in many areas. Due to this, problems crop up in providing benefits of government schemes to the general public. He said that new districts have been formed in the state to reduce the gap between the administration and the general public and to streamline administrative works.
‘We can imagine a happy, strong and prosperous Chhattisgarh only by making villages self-supporting’, Baghel said. The state government is working for the betterment of farmers, poor and laborers. He said that the implementation of Rajiv Gandhi Gramin Bhumihin Krshi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana would begin very soon. The process of filling online and offline forms will start from September 1 from the eligible people for this scheme. Agricultural laborers residing in rural areas and people associated with ‘Pauni Pasari’ will get the benefit of this scheme in which financial assistance of Rs 6,000 will be given in a year.
