Advisor to NMDC and former Principal Secretary of State Government Dinesh Shrivastava and Collector Topeshwar Verma laid stone for Maa Balmeshwari Samiti Mahila Ashray and Training Centre in Gram Chaveli. President of Maa Bamleshwari Samiti and Padam Shri recipient Phulbasan Bai Yadav won the amount from Kaun Banega Crorepati and from the amount won she will be constructing ‘Mahila Ashray’ and Training Centre on 2 acre land in Gram Chaveli for empowerment of women and to make them independent and self-sufficient. On this occasion the guests felicitated the girls with citation certificate for learning karate skills and other works for self-defence.
Advisor to NMDC and former Principal Secretary Dinesh Shrivastava in his address said that future of the country rests upon the children and held the need to empower them and make them strong. He said that one should not get perturbed or feel insecure facing any challenges or problems in the life, rather facing those challenges head-on and win over them. He said that unity among people living nearby is necessary and unless the people are not united, it lack power to move forward and this type of power rests with Maa Bamleshwari SHG. Women Self-Help Group (WSHG) have done lot of hard work for last few years and therefore the women are now empowered. Laying emphasis on cleaning, education and works of benevolence, Shrivastava said that there is need to motivate children towards education, as they are the future of the country.
Collector Topeshwar Verma said that SGHs started way back in 2003-04, but today it has expanded at many places. Many a schemes of the government are now being run through SHGs, than be it poverty eradication or economic empowerment, all is being done through SHGs. There is rise in number of women having good understanding even though they are not so well-learned and therefore they are surging ahead in all the fields. The works of Rajnandgaon Mahila Swahsahay Sahayata Group is known all over the country and it is struggling with help of SHGs hat Padam Shri recipient Phulbasan Bai was felicitated.
The work of opening ‘Mahila Ashray’ and Training centre by her is indeed highly appreciable work and by which women from any states have got associated and motivated.
Padam Shri recipient Phulbasan Bai said that even the soil of earth can take form of gold. The girls of Maa Bamleshwari Swahsahayata Samooh are rendering training on self-defence and added that in order to remove lack of knowledge from the society women of the Group are regularly working in this direction. She said that advisor to NMDC and former Principal Secretary ADinesh Shrivastava is the one who laid stone for Maa Bamleshwari SHG and it has now being expanded all over the place. Recalling his words, Phulbasan said that in order to live the life, one has to struggle. It is with objective to empower women and make them self-sufficient that ‘Mahila Aashray’ and Training Centre is being constructed and added that here all types of products like green chilly, corriander, rice, vegetables and others will be taken on this 2 acre land and its training will be given to the women.
