National Lok Adalat on Sept 11

Raipur, Sep 09: National Lok Adalats are going to be organized across Chhattisgarh on September 11, 2021 in accordance with the annual calendar of National Lok Adalat of National Legal Services Authority New Delhi. Thousands of cases all over the state would be put forward at National Lok Adalats for settlement through mutual consent.
National Lok Adalat would be held at Raipur District Court Complex in Raipur district. National Lok Adalats would also be held at civil courts and revenue courts of Gariaband district, Tilda, Rajim and Deobhog Tehsils. As usual the pending criminal cases which are worthy of mutual agreement, cases pending before civil courts, cases under jurisdiction of labour laws, electricity cases, cases of Section 138 in The Negotiable Instruments Act, cases of motor accident claim tribunal, cases of public utility and arbitration cases would be put forth at National Lok Adalats for settlement through agreement. Cases of revenue courts, cases pertaining to water tax and property tax in municipal corporations/ municipal councils, cases of Sakhi 1 Centres, cases of excise law and pre-litigation cases of banks and BSNL would also be put forth for settlement. Lok Adalat is being organized this time through hybrid mode to help people seek settlement of cases in Lok Adalats while sitting in their homes. District Court, Revenue Courts of Raipur District and District Legal Services Authority in Gariaband appointed presiding officer and constituted a bench. COVID protocol would be followe in Lok Adalats.
