Shah to discuss strategy for poll campaign today

Union Home Minister Amit Shah would be on day-long visit to Chhattisgarh on September 28.

According to the information received, the visiting Union Home Minister Shah would be holding meeting with the senior leaders on the preparations for the forthcoming Legislative Assembly polls in Chhattisgarh during a high-level meeting to be held at party headquarters situated at Kushabhau Thakre premises on Thursday afternoon.

It is understood that during the meeting, the BJP heavy-weight would share the outcome of the survey on the electoral prospects and would also take up the discussion on the probable for various seats. Nearly 30 candidates for various segments including the tribal-dominated Bastar would be taken up for consideration during the meeting.

Shah is likely to give further responsibility to Chhattisgarh leaders to create atmosphere in favour of the saffron brigade for the upcoming polls.

Party leaders said that select few leaders from Chhattisgarh would be invited for the crucial meeting in presence of the central leaders to finalise the election strategy. Strategy for the poll campaign would be taken up for discussion. Shah would return back to New Delhi in the evening after the crucial meeting.
