Mock exercise on disaster management organised at NTPC Korba

Korba, Mar 26: In a step to strengthen and check self preparedness during any chemical and fire accident, a joint mock drill was organized at NTPC Korba by National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) in association with Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) Korba unit on 26th March 2021.
The mock drill was carried out at chlorine plant of NTPC Korba, where the entire process of occurring a chemical leakage, dissemination of information, rescue was exercised. The NDRF team arrived from Mundli, Cuttack having around personnel and similar amount of CISF personnel demonstrated the different activities needs to be done during any accident. Besides chemical leakage, arresting fire incident and rescuing of human being those are in unconscious condition was also exercised by CISF personnel. Special observer was also gave his feedback on execution and other aspects of coordination between other stake holders. Expressing his satisfaction Shri P Ram Prasad, General Manager (Operation and maintenance) said being a large industrial organization NTPC gives utmost priority to industrial safety. And to check its preparedness such mock exercises are periodical organized to maintain our efficiency. On this occasion Shri Abhishek Sharma, IAS, SDM, Katghora, Shri P Ram Prasad, GM (O&M), Shri BK Mishra, CMO, NTPC, Shri Bhanu Samanta, GM (MM), Shri LR Mohanty, GM (Operation). Shri Abhishek Choudhary, Commandant, CISF and senior executives were present.
