Mitron TV App to achieve milestone of 100 plus million users: Shivank Agarwal

Mumbai, Apr 20: Last year when Indian government imposed restriction on Chinese apps including Tik Tok following a prolonged border standoff with Chinese army, the one Indian app which saw surge in user base was Mitron TV. The home grown short format video app which completed one year this month has from then engaged 50+ million users with Madhya Pradesh & Chattisgarh together accounting for over 10 million users. The app which is eyeing to achieve a milestone of 100+ million users in next 6 months recently entered the monetization business by launching new initiatives on the platform – Mitron Club, Mitron Academy and Mitron On-Demand that will create engagement and excitement between creators and users.
On the completion of one year, Shivank Agarwal Co-Founder & CEO, Mitron TV said “Madhya Pradesh is in our top 5 markets for userbase with over 8.8 million users whereas we are slowly growing in Chhattisgarh with a 1.6 million userbase. Users can pay a nominal fee of Rs. 99/ per month wherein they can be a part of the entire ecosystem of the creator. The Club members can directly connect with their favourite creators and request to create content that they would like to view. Thus, the platform supports and encourages creators to create content and monetize their talent by reaching a larger audience. We have also introduced two more unique initiatives – Mitron Academy and Mitron On-Demand for our users. Through Mitron Academy, the creators get an opportunity to share educational videos to help users learn from the platform. Additionally, with Mitron On-Demand, users will be able to place requests for on-demand content like – Astrology reading, song dedication, tips and hacks, birthday wishes, amongst others.
