Raipur, Feb 24: Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has said that Dr. Khubchand Baghel was not only the dream vision of Chhattisgarh but also the symbol of self-respect of Chhattisgarh. He wanted Chhattisgarhi’s to live with self-respect, be self-reliant and to develop them in all walks of life.
Dr. Khubchand Baghel fought throughout his life against the identity and social evils of Chhattisgarh. He are strongly in favour of promoting Chhattisgarhi culture. On the occasion of the 52nd death anniversary of Dr. Khubchand Baghel, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel was addressing the purkha program of Purakha at Village Pathri (Dharsinwa). The Chief Minister said that Dr. Khubchand Baghel played an important role in social movements including the fields of education, cooperatives. He demanded a separate Chhattisgarh state. The Chief Minister said that the State Government is working to fulfill the dreams of Dr. Baghel. To strengthen the rural economy, several schemes are being run by the state government.
Gouthan has been made the medium for the protection and promotion of cattle. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel and Agriculture Minister Mr. Ravindra Choubey paid homage to his statue on the death anniversary of Dr. Khubchand Baghel in village Pathri. On this occasion, the Chief Minister announced to make the roads of village Pathri two-lane and to install a life-size statue of Dr. Baghel in Nava Raipur. On the occasion, Agriculture Minister Ravindra Choubey said that the government is committed to fulfill the dreams of ancestors. All possible efforts are being made for the benefit of farmers. Under Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyaya Yojana, the government is giving incentive money to farmers. Employment opportunities are being made available to the people through Gouthan. Employment is being provided in the construction of vermi compost through women’s self-help groups by purchasing cow dung as well as in other income-related activities. The Chief Minister honored the descendants of freedom fighters on the occasion. In the program, he also honored the farmers for outstanding work in the field of agriculture. Local MLA Anita Yogendra Sharma informed about the problems of the area at the program. In the program, Mr. Girish Dewangan, President of Mineral Development Corporation, Dr. Kiranmayi Nayak, Chairman of State Women’s Commission, former MLA Balodabazar Mr. Janak Verma, District Panchayat President Mrs. Domeshwari Verma, District President Mrs. Uttara Kamal Bharti, Sarpanch of Village Pathri, Mrs. Preeti Soni, Many people representatives, Collector Dr. S. Bhartidasan, senior superintendent of police Ajay Yadav and a large number of villagers were present.
