Labour Welfare Board organizes free health and public awareness camps in 7 districts

Raipur, Aug 21: Labour Welfare Board organized free health and public awareness camps in 7 districts of the state on the instructions of Chairman Shafi Ahmed on the occasion of Bharat Ratna former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi’s birth anniversary.
In the capital Raipur, this camp was organized in Labourr Welfare Board building in labour-dominated Urla. At the outset the Board members Shariq Rais Khan and Manoj Thakur garlanded the photograph of Rajiv ji. Paying tributes to Rajiv Ghandhi they called for making public conscious of their health. They also called for maximum vaccination of the people.
Hundreds of labourers underwent health and eye screening. The screening was carried out by the doctors and health workers with the support of Labour Board officials. After screening they workers were given medicines at free of cost. The Labour Welfare Board had also arranged foods for the workers who came for screening. Retired health workers were honoured on the occasion. The Labour Welfare Board also pledged to carry out welfare works for the labourers, employees and their family members.
