Raipur, Sept 30:
National Institute of Technology (NIT) Raipur’s Go Green – The Eco Social Committee organized a unique event called ‘Green Library’ under the ‘Swacchata hi Seva’ Program on Saturday in a bid to foster sustainability and knowledge-sharing.
The ‘Green Library’ initiative is a remarkable project that combines environmental consciousness with academic enrichment. It aimed to collect old books, journals, and stationary materials donated by faculty, staff, and students to redistribute them to those in need, thereby promoting the idea of reusing educational resources. The event saw enthusiastic participation from various members of the NIT Raipur community, including several alumni, who generously donated their educational materials. More than 200 books were collected and redistributed among students. This initiative not only contributes to the academic growth of the institution but also underscores the importance of sustainable practices and environmental awareness among the students. The event was well-attended and received positive feedback from both donors and recipients.
