A painting workshop organised by Cultural Department

Raipur, Mar 07: On the occasion of 99th birthday of painter Mr. Sayyad Haider Raza, a painting exhibition of on Raza’s work has been organized at Mahant Ghasidas Art Gallery. The exhibition was inaugurated by Chhattisgarh’s senior folk artist Pandwani singer Padmabhushan Teejan Bai and Dr Sushil Chandra Tiwari Patron and College Principal.
Teejan Bai appreciated the art on the occasion and expressed her views on the preservation of art. Tattoo artist Sufiano Bai Pavle, who was specially invited to the workshop, organised a session in tattoo painting on Khadi masks.
Yogendra Tripathi, the convener of the “Raza Lai” event and a professor of painting, said that during the centenary year of Raza Saheb, the Raza Foundation is organizing exhibitions in various cities of India. The exhibition and workshop program was conducted by Padmashree Anuparanjan Pandey. Many artistes and students from Khairagarh, Bhilai, Durg, Kurud, Raipur attended the workshop. Dr. DC Agrawal, Dr Richa Thakur, Dr Deepak Bedekar Dr Vidyanath Singh, Dr Aarti Singh Chirayu Sinha, Rajneesh Srivastava, Alok Pratul Rajendra Sugariya, Hukum Lal, Jayshree Bhagwani were also
present.
