Four arrested in vehicle theft incident
Ramanujnagar (Balrampur), Feb 07: The police while trying to investigate into stolen two Scorpio vehicles in the district headquarters got a major breakthrough into another case and arrested five accused involved and seized both the stolen vehicles as well. All five accused arrested have been sent to jail.
The police informed that the accused after stealing the Scorpio vehicle have put number plate of Bihar passing and were using it for liquor smuggling. SP Balrampur Ramkrishna Sahu addressing a press conference informed that the two Scorpio vehicle were stolen on the intervening night of Nov 29 and 30from Chandi Road. The owner of the two vehicles viz. Anjum Ansari and PK Kashyap, R/o Balrampur have lodged complaint about theft of their Scorpio vehicle bearing No. JH. 03 S 6795 and JH 03 M 9775. On filing of this complaint, the SP directed to for a team and conducted through search in Jharkhand, UP and Bihar. The first vehicle bearing No. JH 03 M 9775 was seized by the police from Sasaram, Dehari of Bihar and other JH 03 S 6795 was seized from Rohtas, Sasaram District of Kanchanpur thana Bihar on 06/02/2021. The vehicle was seized from Gram Bhabhni Thana Bardiha District Gadhwa and arrested one of the accused with it. The other main accused in this theft incident is still absconding and for which the team is conducted search.
SP Balrampur extended greetings to the Police team on this breakthrough and successful seizure of the two vehicles. All four accused I this case have been arrested and sent to jail. The other accused – Raju Kumar of Kanchanpur Thana Sasaram RohtasBihar was arrested under section 379, 420, 411, 201 and 34 of IPC and sent to jail. In the above action, SDOP Ramanujganj Niten Kumar Gautam, sub-inspector Amit Baghel, TI Sanwal, Sub-Inspector- Vinoid Paswal, Chowki Vijay Nagar,Asst. SI Manoj Singh Thana City Kotwali,Balrampur; head constable Deepak Patre, Radheshyam Vishwakarma, Vaibhav Singh, constable Vikas Gupta, Pankaj Sharma, Aakash Tiwari, Cyber Cell inspector Rajkamal Saini, Vijay Paikra, Mangal Singh, Rajkishore Paikra, Nagendra Pandey and others played an important role in solving this crime.
