Five Students of NIT Raipur induced as ET Campus Stars 6.0

National Institute of Technology (NIT) Raipur’s Kareena Bhaskar, 7th semester, Mining Engineering; Peeyush Naidu, 7th semester, Metallurgical & Materials Engineering; Shriyansh Gaur, 7th semester, Computer Science & Engineering; Smita Prajapati, 7th semester, Electronics & Communication; and Vobbilisetti Venkatesh, 7th semester, Metallurgical & Materials Engineering have been selected as the Economic Times Campus Stars 2023. ET Campus Stars is India’s largest hunt for the brightest engineering minds. The program structure consisted of a rigorous four-phase, more than six-months long, process that evaluated each candidate across various assessment parameters like functional knowledge and application, team building and collaboration skills, strategic and innovative thinking, and emotional intelligence. A total of 87 people were nominated out of 2000+ colleges.

In the first phase of the assessment, they were tested based on their aptitude, cognitive behavior, and personality skills. The second phase was crafted to gauge their understanding of their respective domains by evaluating them on their conceptual and theoretical knowledge. After being selected, they underwent an online group exercise that evaluated their group dynamic and highlighted their leadership and team-building skills in the third phase. The fourth and final phase of ET Campus Stars was designed as a one-on-one interaction session with various well-celebrated CXOs of India Inc.

Peeyush Naidu got a chance to interact with Ashwin Damera, CEO, Eruditus & Emeritus. He stated the significance of how great the exposure and the experience were to him, having cleared a national level competition featuring some of the top colleges of the country. Smita Prajapati interacted with Santhosh Kumar, Managing Director, Texas Instruments. She describes her experience as invaluable and as a fine opportunity to acquire new skills and gain quality knowledge. Shriyansh Gaur had an interaction with Dale Vaz, CTO, Swiggy. He enunciated how amazing his experience was and how the interaction was based on the various technologies used in the company such as the message passing and cache management system. The jury then selected them for India’s most coveted list of bright engineering students, ET Campus Stars.
