Sukma/Raipur, Feb 02: To realize the vision of peaceful, prosperous, beautiful and health Sukma, Chief Minister made several announcements today.
In the general assembly held at Sukma High School Ground, Chief Minister said that like Nava Chhattisgarh, we would create Nava Sukma. He said that the dream of Nava Sukma would come true when children would get better education facilities, youth would get employment opportunities, there would be water supply for irrigation of farms and women would become independent and empowered. Chhattisgarh Government is consistently working in this direction.
Chief Minister has sanctioned Rs 5 cr for beautification of Durma Waterfall, upgrading of District Hospital into Super Specialty Hospital and Rs 1 cr for expansion of Swami Vivekananda campus.
Chief Minister has approved Rs. 5 lakh each for construction of all the Devgudis in Sukma district, Rs. 6 cr for widening of three kilometers of National Highway-30 to four-lane road in Chhindgarh Development Block Headquarters. Baghel announced construction of Pre-Matric Boys Hostel at Bheji, Kanya Ashram Bhawan at Golapalli, Pre-Matric Boys Ashram and Post Matric Boys Hostel at Palachalama.
He announced installation of 400 solar dual pump in rural areas, sanctioned BT road for Gongla, approved construction of three km of road between Kukanar to Saraipara, and construction of residential buildings for employees near Community and Primary Health Center.
Chief Minister Baghel said that education is extremely important for growth and Chhattisgarh government wants to ensure that no one gets deprived of education. Therefore, the work of opening schools which was closed for years has been restarted by the present government. Out of 123 schools that were closed, 90 schools have resumed operations within two years. As a result, the district which was once identified with red terror, is being known for the children securing top ranks in board examinations.
To ensure proper health facilities in each and every village, State Government is making consistent efforts. In the same sequence, 50 health workers were provided medical kits and scooties today. Two ambulances have also been allotted to provide emergency treatment to the people in need.
On the occasion, Minister in-charge of the district Jai Singh Agarwal, Industries Minister Kawasi Lakhma, MP Deepak Badge, Kondagaon MLA Mohan Markam, Bastar Region Development Authority Chairman Lakeshwar Baghel, Vice President Vikram Shah Mandavi, Chairman of Board of Handicrafts Development Chandan Kashyap, Chitrakote MLA Rajman Benjam, Chairman of Renewable Energy Development Authority Mithilesh Swarnakar, District Panchayat President Harish Kawasi, Speaker Municipal Corporation Jagannath Sahu, Jagdalpur Municipal Corporation President Kavita Sahu Commissioner GR Churendra, Inspector General of Police P. Sundararaj, Chief Conservator of Forests Mohammad Shahid, Collector Vineet Nandanwar, Superintendent of Police KL Dhruv and local public representatives and officials were present.
