Raipur, Jul 18: With the appointments in the corporations, boards and authorities, discontent is brewing in the Congress. Some dissident leaders have refused to take posts. The BJP has also got a chance to attack the ruling Congress over appointments. The party has questioned release of the list with the approval of the National President of Congress. Apart from this, the state government has been accused of obliging the criminals by giving them posts.
BJP State Spokesperson Anurag Singhdeo says that the Congress government has committed a shameful act of giving an important post to a criminal character, who was been in jail in the dowry case.
A press release was issued to recommend this appointment to the Chief Secretary by stating that it has been approved by the National President of Congress Sonia Gandhi, Singhdeo said asking whether Congress President Sonia Gandhi is also now approving the appointment of such people and if so, the Congress and its state government should make a separate cell and department for the fraudsters. Singhdeo also said in view of the infighting within the Congress over the appointments that it is a display of the political character of the Congress, which is dominated by the tendency to impose its arbitrary decisions while ignoring the sentiments of the workers. According to Singhdeo, Ramkumar Patel, who has been appointed to the post of chairman in Shakambhari Board, is accused of cheating and has served a seven-year jail term in a case of dowry killing.
