Devp works in tribal areas on priority: CM

Citizens from Pakhanjur, Antagarh, Koyalibada of Kanker district came to meet CM Bhupesh Baghel at his official residence. Addressing the citizens Baghel said that there will not be any dearth of funds for development works in Pakhanjur, Antagarh and Koyalibeda and works will be undertaken on priority basis in these areas. On this occasion Chairman Ch’garh Handicraft Board Chandan Kashyap, MLA Anoop Nag and general citizens and heads of Tribal samaj were present.
Speaking on the occasion CM Bhupesh Baghel said that the state government is committed to provide rights of land, water, jungle to tribal community in the state. In the forest areas of the state, initiative is being taken to provide Forest Rights ‘patta’, along with employment through collection of forest produce and its processing. About the demands of the citizens he said that opening of paddy procurement centre, Fair Price Shops, godown, College, hostels for boys and other demands in Pakhanjur, Antagarh and Koyalibada will be sanctioned only after proper examination of it. CM assured to provide construction of culverts, bridges and appointment of teacher through DMF funds. About establishing of Ethanol plant of ‘Makka’ in Pakhanjur, CM said that if the industrialists of the region come forward in this regard, then sanction would be granted soon. On this occasion CM Bhupesh Baghel made declaration of Rs 20 lakhs for construction of bhavan for Sarv Adivasi Samaj in Pakhanjur, Koyalibeda, Antagarh and Aamabeda. In the same way he granted sanction of Rs 20 lakh for construction of community building for Bengali samaj in Pakhanjur and for Majhi Samaj in Gadhpratappur of Pakhanjur- Koyalibeda area. For publication of literature by Santosh Kirtiniya of Bandegaon of Pakhanjur, he granted sanction of Rs 1 lakh. During the meeting, people expressed gratitude for ‘Van-Adhikar Patta’ and construction of ‘Devgudi’ and ‘Ghotul’ for conservation and protection of tribal samaj and invited him to come to their area.
