Corona infection increases, stress on sampling, test and treatment

Kawardha, Mar 18: In the collector premises, collector called a meeting of scribes keeping in mind the increases cases of COVID-19 and felt the need for stress on sampling, test and treatment.
He said, due to increasing cases in the bordering district has cast an impact on this district too. In the last five days Raipur and Durg district registered large number of cases. It is an urgent need of the hour to take precautionary and safety measures or lest would be back to the previous conditions. Collector informed that testing has been enhanced and everyday 3000 tests are being done. In the market place and urban areas strict measures are being adopted for masks and stress is given for testing of traders, vegetable sellers and hawkers who move around to sell their products. It is being ensured that there is 100% vaccination of all persons above 60 years and persons with co-morbidity between 45-60 years of age. The district administration has decided to compulsorily perform RTPCR test of all persons coming from outside the state. District Panchayat has been instructed to maintain register of all those coming from outside. To a question about migration of people, collector replied that panchayats have been asked to furnish within 15 days data of people who have returned during Corona period and again migrated outside their place.
