Cong resorting to political drama over Pegasus issue: BJP

Raipur, Jul 23: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday termed the Rajbhawan march of Congress over Pegasus spyware issue to be a political drama of the ruling party.
In a statement issued here, the BJP spokesperson and senior MLA Ajay Chandrakar claimed that the Congress has once again resorted to political drama to hide its own politics. BJP spokesperson further stated that the allegation of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on the former Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh over spyware deal is baseless and claimed that the high-level committee constituted by the Congress government has failed to confirm any purchase or use of the spyware and added that the committee has also not even able to collect any factual information so far. He added that the reaction of Congress on the spyware is a well-chalked out strategy to gain political mileage and stated that the urgency shown by the Congress on the issue shows that it is playing into the hands of anti-national elements and urban naxals.
Condemning the reaction of Congress, the senior BJP Legislator said that the ruling Congress has long malign history of phone taping.
