Collector instructs to make better arrangements for paddy procurement and vaccination

Bijapur, Dec 17: Immunization of 100 percent people should be ensured by persuading the people for COVID 19 vaccination in the district and in this direction, COVID 19 vaccination campaign should be conducted on Wednesday and Thursdays.
In both the above days, the nodal officers of the Gram Panchayats will visit the respective villages and ensure the COVID vaccination by motivating the villagers to vaccinate with the help of the Panchayat Secretary, teachers etc.
Better arrangements should be ensured under the procurement of paddy on support price in the district. Initiatives should be taken in this direction on top priority.
The above instructions were given by District Collector Rajendra Kumar Katara to the implementing officers during the time-limit meeting held in the Collectorate.
The Collector took detailed information about the COVID vaccination status in the meeting and directed the officers to contact all the targeted people to get the COVID 19 vaccine, including keeping the updated information about the first dose and second dose being administered to the target age people in the Gram Panchayats.
Emphasizing on making better arrangements for procurement of paddy at support price, the Collector said that farmers should be given priority to get their paddy weighed on time including access to tokens, availability of gunny bags. At the same time, initiatives should be taken to provide them other facilities. After discussing with the farmers, efforts should be made with sensitivity to solve their problems.
Collector instructed the officers to deposit 100% empty gunny bags from the fair price shops operated under the Public Distribution System at the earliest. At the same time, he asked to make arrangements for cap cover to ensure that the paddy is kept safe. In the meeting, implementation of state government’s flagship schemes, Kisan credit card supply, Ayushman card supply, accessibility of services under Public Service Guarantee Act, road, bridge-culvert construction, point wise review of government housing construction, model ashram-hostel construction etc. was also done.
During the meeting, district level officers of various departments including CEO, District Panchayat Ravi Sahu, SDM Bijapur Devesh Dhruv, SDM Bhopalpatnam Hemendra Bhuarya and Tehsildars and other officials were also present.
