Chh’garh to secure National Games berth with National Open Kayaking championship

Raipur, Sept 12:

A 17-member team of Chhattisgarh Pradesh Kayaking & Canoeing Association (CPKCA) will be participating in the Open National Canoe Sprint Senior Men and Women championship to be held on Bhagwati River on Tihri Dam of Utterakhand from September 14-17 to achieve qualification in the 37th National Games to be held in Goa later this year.

Providing the above information, the Joint Secretary of Association Prashant Singh Raghuvanshi said that team comprises Ashok Sahu as Coach whereas Ganesh Yadu, Omkar Sahu, Sanju Sahu, Satish Dhruv, Navin Sahu, Pawan Sonwane, Manish Jagat, Jagganath Pradhan, Mukesh Yadav, Santdev Baghel, Sukhram Poyam, Mahendra Sahu, Swati Sahu, Manmati Baghel, Neetu Sonwane and Raman Sonkar are the players for the event. It is notable that the players have son several medals in both the last National Games and have been practicing hard at Budhatalab Raipur and Balpat Sagar Jagdalpur. Players were presented with the tracksuit and sports kit to the players during which the Director Bilasa Blood Bank Swaraj Gautam, Joint Secretary Prashant Singh Raghuvanshi were present.

Association President Baldeo Singh Bhatia, Working President Rohit Kale and Secretary Abhijit Mishra have extended best wishes to the players for the Open National championship.
