BJP to hold demo over fertilizer crisis on July 26

Raipur, Jul 19: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will stage demonstration at Block Headquarters on July 26 to register protest against the state government over reported unavailability of agriculture fertilizer for farmers in adequate amount.
A decision in this regard was taken at the virtual meeting of BJP Kissan Morcha held in presence of BJP Organizational General Secretary Pawan Sai here on Monday. He said that the Kissan Morcha would expose the state government over the anti-farmer policy by staging demonstration and gave away essential strategy to the farmers to launch agitation over black-marketing of fertilizer after reported shortage across Chhattisgarh.
State BJP Kissan Morcha President Shyambihari Jaiswal said that a day-long dharna would be staged at block headquarters on July 26 to raise demand for adequate supply of fertilizers. He said that while the chemical fertilizer is not available at the co-operative societies, the same thing is available in the open market but at higher price. He held the state government responsible for it and added that the farmers are agitated due to the fertilizer crisis.
