Baghel, Soren did ‘jugalbandi’ on ‘Thodka’ and ‘Turhi’

Raipur, Oct 28: During the ongoing National Tribal Dance Festival at Science College ground in the capital city Raipur, Chief Ministers of the two tribal-dominated states of Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand did ‘jugalbandi’ by playing traditional musical instruments. When Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren started playing Thoddka, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel joined him with a traditional trumpet ‘turhi’. This interesting sight was seen at the stall put up by the Public Relations Department. Traditional musical instruments prevalent in the tribal communities have been displayed in this stall.
Chief Guest of the National Tribal Dance Festival-Rajyotsava 2021, Jharkhand Chief Minister Mr. Hemant Soren along with the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Bhupesh Baghel inaugurated the development exhibition organized by various departments of Chhattisgarh Government. Chief Ministers visited the stalls of Water Resources Department, Public Works Department, Agriculture Development and Farmers Welfare and Biotechnology Department, Aajeevika Gudi (RIPA).They also observed the Minor Forest Produce Processing Units at Aajeevika Gudi (RIPA), Mini Oil Mill, Mini Dal Mill and other small scale units like Murra, Chana, Lai, Popcorn Bursting. Meanwhile, Soren also tasted the Chhattisgarhi Murra.
Chief Minister Baghel apprised the chief guest Soren about the livelihood related activities being conducted in gauthans of the state, while observing the model of Gauthan built by the Department of Agriculture Development and Farmers Welfare and Biotechnology under Suraji Gaon Yojana. Besides, the officials of Indira Gandhi Agricultural University told the Chief Guest about the different varieties of ragi flour, kodo, rice, herbal gulal and rice being produced in the university.
