Birgaon College to be named after the late Nandkumar Patel

Raipur, Mar 09: Chief Minister Mr. Baghel handed over works worth Rs 121 crore to the people of the area at a function organised at Budhwari Bazar Birgaon here. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel announced the opening of a branch of District Cooperative Bank in Birgaon on the request of Regional MLA Mr. Satanarayana Sharma, while he announced the renaming of Birgaon College in the name of Late Nandkumar Patel and opening of Swami Atmanand English Medium School in Birgaon area. Addressing the program, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that our government is constantly making efforts to protect the interests of the village, the poor, the farmers and the needy. He said that the award of the cleanest state has been received by Chhattisgarh for the second consecutive year, it is a matter of pride. He informed that the honorarium of Swachhta Didi has been increased from Rs 5000 to 6000. Baghel said that under the Chief Minister Slum Health Scheme, more than 8000 people have been tested for health under the Municipal Corporation of Birgaon. Two mobile medical units have been made available for free health test and medical facility to the people of the area. Agriculture Minister and District In-Charge Minister Ravindra Choubey said that under the leadership of Bhupesh Baghel, our government is doing remarkable work for the development of all sections. He went into detail about the work done by the government in the Corona crisis. Addressing the program, Urban Administration Minister Dr. Shivkumar Dahria said that basic facilities are being provided by our government in all the urban bodies of the state and special care is being taken to ensure that the people of the area do not face any problem of any kind. He said that the drinking water magnification scheme would prove to be a milestone. On this occasion, Regional MLA Mr. Satyanarayan Sharma, President of Chhattisgarh State Khadi and Village Industries Board, Mr. Rajendra Tiwari, former District Panchayat Member Mr. Pankaj Sharma, Collector and Administrator of Birgaon Municipality Corporation, Dr. S. Bharti Dasan, Senior Superintendent of Police Ajay Yadav, Commissioner Municipal Corporation Birgaon, Srikant Verma and a large number of residents were present.
