Andaman and Nicobar Polls: Counting of votes for Panchayat and Municipal Election concludes, Congress-DMK alliance wins 11 seats
In Andaman and Nicobar Islands, the counting for Panchayat and Municipal Election concludes yesterday.
Both the major parties, BJP and Congress failed to secure a clear majority in Port Blair Municipal Council. Out of total 24 wards, both BJP and Congress won 10-10 each, while TDP managed to won 2 seats. Congress has formed an alliance with DMK over 5 seats. Congress-DMK alliance won a total of 11 seats. One woman independent candidate also won.
