ACB nabs CEO and three Patwaris red-handed

Raipur, Jun 11: Anti-corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths nabbed four officers and employees including Janpad Panchayat CEO Bhilaigarh red-handed on charges of taking bribe. CEO had demanded amount for releasing of balance amount from the expenditure in boundary wall construction of a School.
It was as per instructions from Director EOW /ACB Arif H Shekh and under leadership of SP EOW/ACB Pankaj Chandra that this action was taken. Amruta Sori, Addl. SP ACB along with ACB team from Raipur, Jagdalpur and Ambikapur got this major breakthrough. All the four officers and employees demanding bribe for some work were nabbed red-handed and the ACB has filed a case against all four.
In the first case, a complaint was lodged with ACB that a demand of Rs 20000 is being made for release of balance amount for boundary wall construction worth Rs 3 lakh. Confirming the same, ACB team took action on Friday and nabbed the accused Kuleshwar Gaikwad (6) CEO Janpad Panchayat Bhilaigarh, District Balodabazar, taking bribe of Rs 20000 at his government residence in Bhilaigarh.
In another case, a complaint was lodged against the Patwari of Hl.No. 13, Unagarpal, Bhanpuri, District Bastar demanding Rs 8000 for mutation work from the applicant. Confirming the complaint, ACB Jagdalpur unit took action on Friday and nabbed Patwari MK Bisai (27) red-handed accepting bribe of Rs 8000.
In another case, Patwari of Halka No. 26, Bhesaki, Bariyo, Tehsil Rajpur, District Balrampur demanded bribe of Rs 50000 for providing B-1, map and copy of Khasara No. ACB Ambikapur team raided the place and nabbed Patwari accepting bribe of Rs 40000 as first instalment. In another case Patwari of Halka No. 22, 23 Gram Manpur, Tehsil Sahaspur- Lohara, District Kawardha was nabbed accepting bribe of Rs 11000 for making new ‘Rin Pustika’ and this action was taken by ACB Raipur office.
