Two robbers arrested in Civil Lines

Raipur, Nov 21: In a prompt action on Saturday night, Civil Lines police arrested both the robbers and recovered from them the mobile phone which they had snatched from the complainant earlier in the evening.
According to police, complainant Ram Singh Sahu is resident of Sant Kanwar Ram Chowl at Katora Talab locality. On Saturday evening, he was walking back to his residence but when he was passing through goddess Kali temple before Utkal Nagar, two youths came rushing from behind and without any provocation they bashed him severely and snatched his mobile phone and fled from the spot.
The incident was immediately complained in Civil Lines police station where an offence was registered under Section 394 IPC against both the unidentified robbers and a hunt was launched to nab the. With the help of local information network and analyzing the obtained CCTV recordings, police succeeded in identifying the robber named Ashish Tripathi and Abdul Rashid. Both of them soon rounded up and the robbed mobile phone was recovered. Later on Sunday, both the robbers were produced in the court from where they have been sent to jail.
