Illegally constructed structures on government land, whether in Nuh or elsewhere in India, must be removed. Encroachments on public land should never have been allowed. However, the encroachers have no right to remain permanently. Additionally, the High Court’s questions appear misplaced. In case of an attack on a religious procession by one community, the responsible party is that community, not the procession organizers. This shouldn’t be labeled as ethnic cleansing or targeted bias against a specific group.
