Reorienting Strategy

- Bidyut Kumar Chatterjee, Faridabad

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent address in Rajasthan reflects his concerns about the 26- party Opposition alliance named ‘INDIA.’ The Prime Minister’s criticism of the Opposition’s unity and use of Mahatma Gandhi’s ‘Quit India’ slogan to target them raises questions about the state of democracy in the country.

The government’s assertion that the PMCARES Fund is not a public authority has raised eyebrows, undermining its moral authority to address corruption. To preserve the integrity of our democratic principles, INDIA must urgently reorient its strategy.

Building a positive and cohesive environment requires fostering open dialogue, respectful dissent, and inclusive governance. Emphasizing accountability and transparency will reinforce public trust in the system and strengthen our democracy. It is imperative for both the ruling party and the Opposition to work collectively for the nation’s progress, transcending political differences and upholding the spirit of democracy.
