Leh: Secretary Padma Angmo inaugurates first Ladakhi Voice Over and Dubbing Artists Training Camp in AIR studios

In Leh, UT Ladakh Secretary Ms. Padma Angmo inaugurated the first Ladakhi Voice Over and Dubbing Artists’ Training Camp which began in All India Radio studios today.

The ten-day training camp is part of skill development for Ladakhi youths in coordination with the Pune-based Film and Television Institute of India, FTII. Twenty selected youth will be trained by the famous dubbing artist Uday Sabnis, in AIR Leh studios.

Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Angmo said, there is a lot of content available to present in local languages in Ladakh. She said, this is a unique field where the UT Administration decided to hone the skills of youth to meet the future demands of the infotainment industry.

FTII Centre for Open Learning Executive Head Mr. Milind Damle, Ladakh Skill Development, and Technical Education OSD Mr. Abid Hussain, Leh Information and Public Relations Assistant Director Dr Tundup Namgyal also spoke on the occasion.
