Youth Donated Blood in Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Blood Bank

Every year 14th June is observed as World Blood Donor Day. As many as 23 youth including 2 girls from NGO “ Naya Kadam, Nayi Ummiden ” based in Mandir Hasaud, Raipur donated blood on this auspicious Day. They were in the age-group of 19-25 with varied professions like student, teacher, trader etc. Some of them were related to Medical profession. G.Krishna Rao, 54 years, working as an Electrician in the Hospital, came forward to donate also. Anand Verma,- Senior Member of the NGO told that their members are donating blood at different hospitals in Raipur today. Lauding their interests; Mr. C. Sreenivas, Chairman – Health & Education Trust opined that Liquid Love, i.e. Blood has NO substitute. There is acute shortage of Blood vis-à-vis the number of the needy patients in our country. He advised them to stay healthy and be examples for their friends to donate blood.
Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Blood Bank has turned out to be a Boon for the paediatric cardiac patients coming from all over the country daily.
Earlier the patient attendants had to go all the way to Raipur for blood donation. Like our other free services; Blood from the Blood Bank is provided FREE OF COST to the needy patients as per the availability.
Being the only Blood Bank in the whole area; people of Nava Raipur and the surrounding villages are being immensely benefited.
Dr. P.K.Neema, Dr. Hitendra Bansode and Mr. Ravi Kiran Sreepada encouraged the young donors by their presence.
