World Mental Health Day observed

Bhilai, Oct 14: RSR Rungta College of Engineering and Technology under the aegis of Sanjay Rungta Group of Institutions organized a State level webinar on October 10, 2020 on the occasion of “World Mental Health Day” as a part of National Service Scheme & Unnat Bharat Abhiyaan. The title of this webinar was “Mental Health for All”. Students from all over the state of Chhattisgarh participated enthusiastically in this event.
In this webinar, Dr Akansha Gupta Dani, a renowned psychiatrist of Chhattisgarh addressed the students and audience. In her address, she said that World Mental Health Day is celebrated every year on October 10 all over the world. This day is celebrated to create awareness among people about issues of mental health and with the aim of organizing the collaborative efforts of mental health. Dr Dani said that we were aware of our physical illness and remedies as well, but in today’s life, mental illness has become a vital part of one’s life. In fact, World Mental Health Day is celebrated for the purpose of sensitizing people and alerts them towards mental health.
At the end, Dr Dani, while addressing the questions of the participants has advised them to remain stress free. During this webinar, the Principal of the college, Dr SV Deshmukh wished all the best to the students. At the end of the webinar, every participant was awarded an E-Certificate.
The NSS Programme Officer Novel Kumar Sahu, Nodal Officer Anisha Mirre and volunteers – Satish Baghel, Nachiketa Mohanty, Chitranshi Patel, Dolly Dewangan, Abhishek Tripathi, Durgesh, Jiteshwari Sinha and other NSS Volunteers were congratulated for the successful conduction of the webinar.
