Signals and Telecommuications department organised a technical workshop at zonal head office auditorium under chairmanship of Principal Chief Signal and Telecommunication (S&T) Engineer Neeraj Sinha here on Saturday. In this workshop, the officers from the project and construction unit of all three divisions took part. Principal Chief S&T Engineer Neeraj Sinha inaugurated the workshop by lighting the traditional lamp and in his address asked all the S&T officers to organised technical workshop and share their field experience thorugh presentation, so that others can also gain knowledge and get motivation to work with new ideas and techniques. It is in this context, SEC Chief Signal Engineer SK Solanki delivered his lecture. In his address he mentioned about the shortcomings in the recently commissioned automatic signalling work between Bilaspur and Daghapara section and drew attention of the responsible concerned and gave suggestion to work in proper manner in the near future. Through different studies he held discussions in detailed about the railway accident at Ghunghuti railway sation on 20/03/2019. Highlighting on the reasons behind this accident he cited the technical measures to be taken to avoid such accidents.
Chief Signal Engineer SK Solanki gave lecture on Vigilance and Tender issue. Laying emphasis on intricacies of this subject, he described the measures to solve these works in the right manner, so that it speeds up the working and mistakes can be avoided. He also presented this subject with interesting examples. At the end of the first session, there was question and answer session organised and in this queries of all were answered.
In the next phase of the workshop, the senior division Signal & Telecommunication Engineer of Bilaspur div. S Mukherjee highlighted the problems being faced in the working and maintenance of Electric Lifting Barriers. In this series he Sr. Div. S&T Engineer Raipur div. Ankit Saraf and Sr. Div. S&T Engineer from Nagpur Harish Sahu gave problems faced in the electric lifting barriers. In the next phase of workshop Umesh Jain and Jagdish Vaswani of Global India Limited gave solution to the working and in maintenance work of Electric Lifting Barriers.
