Women Health Awareness Programme organised at Kalyan PG College

Bhilai, Oct 01: For the health and safety of women, a two-day seminar was organised in Kalyan College under the auspices of NCC, NSS and IQAC unit. In the first day of this health awareness programme, Dr Sujatha Iyer, who is a women’s health consultant, as the keynote speaker, spoke about mental health, physical health, spiritual health and social health. She gave guidance to the students on topics like attack prevention etc.
Dr Ujjwala Tamer, who is a Gynaecologist was the keynote speaker in the second day of this awareness programme. During this program, she also discussed about a complex disease like cancer, in which she informed about the symptoms and prevention of cancer in women.
During this program, the students of NSS and NCC put their health related problems in front of the speaker, which were solved very easily by the speakers. In addition to this, NSS volunteers were given B and C certificates in this seminar.
The program was addressed by Dr Neelam Shukla, NSS officer (convenor) of the college and Dr Nagmani, NCC officer (co-convener). In this two-day program, the Principal of the college, Professor YP Patel, Vice Principal Dr Santosh Jain, IQAC coordinator Dr Sudhir Sharma and co-convener Dr Vibha Singh were also present.
Professors of the organizing committee of the programme, Aarti Mishra, Neha Vishnu, Anubha Verma as well as NSS volunteer and M Sc Physics (third sem) student Anjali Mahobia contributed in successful completion of the event. NSS volunteers and NSS volunteers also contributed to make the programme successful.
