Welcome move by EC

With plutocrat power being flagged off as a major concern in Karnataka, the Election Commission of India is likely to emplace further Central spectators to keep an eye on the bean expenditure of political parties and candidates.It’s likely that one IRS officer will be stationed for every two Assembly constituencies to cover election expenditure. This is a welcome move by EC. Furthermore District Expenditure Monitoring panels involving State police, Excise, Investigation Directorate of the Income Tax Department, Enforcement Directorate and Financial Intelligence Unit, among others, have been set up to crack down on electoral malpractices. EC call on the number of Central spectators grounded on the need, perceptivity and assessment of the ground situation seems to be imperative and inevitable.
