A day-long National Webinar on “Chemical & Laboratory Safety” was organized under the joint aegis of Pt Ravishankar Shukla University’s School of Studies in Chemistry and Local Chapter of Chemical Research Society of India (CRSI) here on Thursday.
Professor AK Tyagi, Associate Director, Chemical Group, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre Mumbai and Dr KVS Rangnath from Banaras Hindu University were main Speakers in the Webinar whereas Pt Ravishankar Shukla University Vice Chancellor Professor Keshari Lal Verma was chief guest of the event.
Speaking on the occasion, he stressed on the need to strictly follow the all essential guidelines of Laboratory Safety.
CRSI Local Chapter Co-ordinator Professor Kallol K Ghosh, Professor Shams Parvez also stressed on the need of Chemical Safety in all the labs.
Chief Speaker Professor AK Tyagi said that awareness is basic rule of Chemical Safety. Similarly, Dr Rangnath from BHU provided information about the various safety standards in case of emergency as well as appropriate measures during the crisis. Nearly 200 participants attended the Webinar.
