Wage revision of SAIL executives is the first priority: Narendra Banchhor

Bhilai, Sep 29: A formal event of handing / taking over the charge of the office was organized in Pragati Bhawan, Civic Centre after the election of the new executive committee of the BSP Officers Association for the session 2021-23. The re-elected President Narendra Kumar Banchhor and Treasurer Ankur Mishra again took charge of the office.
The outgoing General Secretary Shahid Ahmed handed over the charge to the newly elected General Secretary Parvinder Singh. In his address, Chairman Narendra Kumar Banchhor expressed gratitude to the officers for electing him for the third consecutive term and assured that to prominently raise the issues related to all the officers before the SAIL management and find better solutions. He said that the priority issues before them are pending wage revision of officers, salary discrepancy of junior officers 2008 and 2010 batch, increase in medical facility, necessary reforms in new promotion policy, payment of PRP, notional promotion HRA facility in E1 grade to junior officer batch 2018, etc. Many works have been completed in the last term and some are still in the pipeline. He assured that these issues will be resolved soon and positive initiatives will be taken on new issues. Our motto is “Smile on the face of all the members”, he said. Congratulating the new team, outgoing General Secretary Shahid Ahmed expressed hope for early resolution of all the issues related to the officers. Newly elected General Secretary Parvinder Singh thanked the officers for entrusting a new responsibility. For the last two terms, he has been working continuously with the members as Vice-President.
He assured to continue making efforts on various issues in future as well. He said that all the burning issues will be discussed with the BSP management and efforts will be made to find a proper solution. Congratulating all the elected office bearers, Ankur Mishra, the elected treasurer for the third term, expressed his gratitude. Outgoing Vice President (II) Sunil Kshirsagar, Vice President (Mines) Santosh Kumar Singh, Secretaries Shovan Ghosh, Remi Thomas and SEFI Nominee Ajay Kumar, outgoing zonal representatives and newly elected zonal representatives were present in the programme.
