Vijay Baghel initiates tree plantation drive at KPS Durg

Bhilai, Jul 04: A Tree Plantation drive was held at Krishna Public School, Durg the other day, wherein Member of Parliament Vijay Baghel, planted a tree in the school campus. The occasion was very special as it had an objective to contribute in preserving and promoting the environment by planting 42,000 trees in the region, in the words of Vijay Baghel. The program began by lighting of the lamp followed with a speech by the Guest. Addressing the gathering, he emphasized on the importance to foster a culture of responsibility towards Nature among the students. The Director & Principal, Mayank Sharma undertook to carry the Green Environment initiative ahead. A pledge was undertaken by all the members present therein to create a green and clean environment in the region across Durg and Chhattisgarh on the whole. Vinod Upadhyay from Baghel’s support team played a key role in making the plantation drive a big success. The program was anchored by Vibhuti Mishra. Overall the program ended on a very positive note.
