VHP holds ‘Aakrosh Rally’ over Kawardha incident

Bhilai, Oct 12: Vishwa Hindu Parishad and other Hindu outfits of the city staged demonstration and organised “Aakrosh Rally” on Tuesday at Manas Bhavan in Durg. They strongly condemned the Kawardha incident and demanded action against the administrative and police officials who allegedly did not take proper and unbiased action. The demonstrators had planned to march to the District Collectorate but the police did not give permission.
Kanha Ji Maharaj, VHP State President Santosh Golcha, Bajrang Dal State Convenor Ratan Yadav, Kaushalendra Pratap Singh, Avadhesh Dubey, Jyoti Sharma, Pawan Sharma and Shirish Agrawal addressed the gathering.
The speakers said that the Hindu Samaj is hurt with the insult of the saffron flag, which symbolizes the pride of Sanatan Dharma. They condemned the continuing atrocities on Hindus and asserted that for the last few days, there have been continuous criminal attacks on Hindus by some anti-social elements. They alleged that such anti-social elements have received protection from the state government. The incident of desecration of the most sacred saffron flag of Hindus in Kawardha has deeply hurt the Hindus.
They demanded judicial probe over the incident, FIR against those who abused Durgesh Dewangan, unconditional release of the Hindus who have been imprisoned after this incident and withdrawal of all the FIRs against them, suspension of the Kawardha Collector, SP, Nayab Tehsildar and SHO, etc.
Rajendra Padhye conducted the programme. Former Minister Ramsheela Sahu, MP Vijay Baghel’s wife Rajni Baghel, Jageshwar Sahu, Preetpal Belchandan, Maya Belchandan, Chandrika Chandrakar and BJP office bearers were also present.
