Use caution in dealing with children: Dubey

Raipur, Jan 29: Many such cases related to children come in front of Child Welfare Committee, in which parents adopt back children with difficulty. In such a situation, parents should be counseled by giving psychological advice. These things were discussed by the Chairman of Chhattisgarh Child Welfare Commission, Mrs Prabha Dubey, on January 27, while holding an interactive meeting with the Chairman and members of the Child Welfare Committees of Raipur Division at the Commission Office in Raipur.
She told the officials of the Child Welfare Committee that children learn mostly by watching, so children should be treated excellently while dealing with them. On this occasion, District Child Protection Officer, Rajnandgaon, Chandrakishore Lade and Railway Child Coordinator Mr. Praveen Sonwani were honoured with a citation for excellent work in the field of child protection. The participants present stressed the need for training of special teachers, newly appointed officials for children in the state and put forward difficulties faced in social rehabilitation of the victims. On this occasion, Secretary of the Commission, Mr. Prateek Khare, while giving detailed information on child rights, clarified the expected role of child welfare committees. All protective arrangements were also made in the meeting keeping in mind the Covid-19 epidemic.
