Universal Cup Tournament witnesses exciting matches

Bhilai, Mar 14: Ispat Youth Club is organizing Bhilai Ispat Premier League Universal Cup Flood Light BSP Interdepartmental Cricket Tournament for the third consecutive year. The tournament was inaugurated the other day at Cricket Ground of Sector 1.
The first match of the second day was played between Telugu Titans and Tata -11 in which Tata 11 won the match by 10 runs. Vikas Kumar staged brilliant performance and took 4 wickets. He was awarded Man of the Match.
The second match was played between Mahamaya XI and SP 2 in which SP2 won the match by 2 runs. Rahul was declared man of the match. The tournament is being organized by Ispat Youth Club with the special cooperation of the Sports Department of Bhilai Steel Plant and the Diploma Engineers Association. This trophy has been named “Universal Rail Cup” after the SAIL’s main product – ‘Rails’. 24 departmental teams of Bhilai Steel Plant are participating in this tournament. The personnel and officers of Bhilai Steel Plant are going to display their sporting talent in this tournament. The organizers hoped that the coming days of the tournament will be very exciting.
This tournament will be very exciting for the cricket enthusiasts. Abhishek Singh, President of Ispat Youth Club, said that last year the tournament was not held due to the Covid19. This year, the organizers are following all the Covid guidelines. The organizers have requested the cricket enthusiasts of the city to visit the stadium to encourage the players.
Steel Youth Club Working President Krishnamurthy, General Secretary Nitin Kashyap, Vice President Manish Yadav, Rishabh Ghosh, Abhilash Kumar, G Chandra Prakash, Vinay Kumar, Secretary Member Ghanshyam Sahu, Vivek Dubey, Bhanu Sahu, Mirza Baig, Neeraj Gawde, Suvendu, Pankhiraj Meena, Sudharshan Thakur, Pawan Sahu, Dinesh Kumar, Rajkumar, Sanjeev Kumar, Shivshankar, Mahender Dhale and others are playing vital role in organizing the event.
