Ukraine- Russia Crisis: 26 Indian students from Ukraine reaches Chennai airport, expresses happiness on safe evacuation

Twenty-six more Indian students from Ukraine reached Chennai airport last evening, after their repatriation under the ongoing Operation Ganga. They were received at the airport by the state government officials and the BJP leaders. Later, the students were sent back to their respective districts including Coimbatore, Madurai, Tirunelveli, Thoothukudi, and Villupuram by the state government.

With yesterday’s arrival, 88 students have arrived in the state in the last four days from Ukraine that is facing the Russian offensive.

All the students who spoke to the media outside the airport expressed happiness at reaching home, though they expressed concerns about the safety of their friends who are still there. They also said there are uncertainties in completing their education in time.
