Two inter-state burglars nabbed red-handed

Attempting to steal cash from bank ATM

Mandir Hasaud police and zonal patrolling team of capital police have succeeded in arresting two inter-state burglars after nabbing them red-handed attempting to steal cash from a bank ATM in Cheri-Khedi locality on the intervening night of Wednesday-Thursday.
According to police, the zonal patrolling team of capital police on the intervening night of Wednesday-Thursday spotted a man hovering around suspiciously outside the Bank of Baroda ATM in Cheri-Khedi. Immediately upon spotting the police team, that man fled from there on his bike. Reaching outside the ATM kiosk, police found that the shutter locks have been cut and the shutter was raised slightly. Raising the shutter completely, police found another man inside the kiosk attempting to cut open the ATM’s cash chest with the help of a gas cutter.
Identifying himself as Prashant Pathak of Panna district in Madhya Pradesh, the arrested man told police of having come here to rob bank ATMs and also told police that his absconding accomplice was Vijay Tiwari, also a native of Panna district.
Police then immediately alerted all its barricading points in the area and this resulted in arresting fleeing Vijay Tiwari within few minutes.
Both of them have since been booked under Section 457, 380, 51, 34 IPC in Mandir Hasaud police station and are now being interrogated further.
