Troubled with price rise of raw material, industrialists approach MP Vijay Baghel

Bhilai, Oct 17: On Saturday, a delegation of industrialists led by Arvinder Singh Khurana (President, Bhilai Ancillary Association) paid a visit to Member of Parliament Vijay Baghel. They shared their problems that have emerged due to three-fold increase in raw material prices.
They also expressed ire on the BSP officials those who misbehave with the industrialists. Khurana explained in detail the problems being faced by the local industries due to the increase in the prices of raw materials. He also expressed his anger over the attitude of the BSP
officers.
The industrialists handed over a demand letter to Member of Parliament Vijay Baghel and demanded immediate intervention to redress the problems. Baghel assured the industrialists that he will hold a meeting with the CEO of BSP and discuss the issues. If the problem is not resolved at local level, he will talk to the Union Minister and SAIL Chairman.
Arvinder Singh Khurana said that the local industries and ancillary industries are in deep trouble. The rate of raw material which includes plates, angles and channels has increased three times in the last one year. The industrialists have reached to the verge of extinction due to the price rise of raw material.
On the other hand, BSP management had adopted unfriendly attitude towards the local industries. He alleged that the BSP officials often misbehave with industrialists. Moreover, the industrialists are categorised as “Risk Purchase” or their inquiry is closed.
BSP officers have started working with ill intentions. BSP officials and officials of Users Department are roaming in the industrial area. The entrepreneurs have now lost their patience. Khurana requested MP Baghel to talk to the BSP management to stop harassment of local industries. BSP should accept the goods from the industrialists who are ready to supply, else alternate arrangements should be made.
Management has to create a situation to take work from everyone and not to harass the entrepreneurs. Khurana requested MP Baghel to intervene immediately to protect the local industrialists from the atrocities on the part of BSP management. After listening to the complaints, MP Baghel advised the industrialists to maintain calm.
He said that the local industries are very important and their problem has to be taken care of BSP must protect the local and ancillary industries and not harass them. As far as complaints of misbehaviour by BSP officials is concerned, it will not be tolerated at all.
Baghel assured the industrialists that he would solve the problem after meeting with BSP CEO and other officials. Baghel said that if the matter is not resolved at local level, he will talk at the highest level. He assured to raise the problems of local industries at the appropriate forum. Problems will be resolved after meeting with the Union Minister and SAIL Chairman.
Office bearers of the association expressed gratitude. Vice President Vyas Prasad Shukla and Ashutosh Tiwari, General Secretary Charanjit Singh Khurana, Treasurer Vijay Agrawal, Secretary Deshraj Yadav and Anil Shukla, Convenor JK Jain and Chaman Lal Bansal, Spokesperson Mayur Kukreja and others were present.
