Rajim, May 21: Just like ‘Prayag’, the confluence of three rivers in Rajim known as ‘Triveni Sangam’ holds its own importance. Many people come here for ‘pind-daan’, ‘Tarpan’, and to take a Holy Dip and like any other big religious places, the mortal remains of many a well-known leaders have been immersed at the confluence in Rajim as well. The above are words of MLA Rajim Amitesh Shukla while addressing the citizens on the banks of ‘Sangam’ in Rajim last on Saturday. Shulka performed prayers on occasion of ‘Buddha Poornima’ on the banks of ‘Pairi’ river organised by ‘Vedratan Sewa Prakalp’ and offered prayers to Mahanadi here. He said that the ‘Sangam’ will be made more beautiful, clean and filled with water throughout the year and would extend all necessary support for it.
Shukla further said that if one’s feeling for a work are good, then if any other work is carried out, it will also be successful. He appealed to continue ‘Ganga Aarti’ here and it should not be stopped and he also praised the ‘mahanadi Aarti’ organised here on regular basis.
Speaking further Shukla said that irrespective of how big a person or his post be, the human body is ‘Nashvar’ and death is for sure and therefore one must do good works. There is presence of ‘God’ in this world and it was after his victory he realised that there Lord Rajivlochan is ‘Jagrut Dewata’. BJP District secretary Mahesh Yadav said that there is need to conserve and protect ‘Mahanadi Mayya’. Bringing it to attention of MLA Shukla, he said that water from Navagaon anicut should be released, so that it will remain levelled. Ram Vinod Sharma said that water is one of the most essential elements for life of a human being and prayers to ‘Mahanadi Mayya’ should be done on regular basis. Sharma said that the people hold lot of faith towards ‘Sangam’ and it is responsibility of all to keep it neat & clean. Sanat Sharma said that prayers of ‘Mahanadi Aarti’ should be done regularly.
Convenor of Mahanadi Maharti- Vikram Meghwani highlighting on the objective of ‘Mahanadi Aarti’ said that as such prayers in Rajim mela is being performed for last 9 years and taking it forward the Samiti has decided to oragnised ‘Mahanadi Aarti’ on ocacsion of Fullmoon (Poornima) every month. He also welcomed the decision of holding ‘Aarti’ on daily basis near Mahanadi.
On this occasion a ‘Kavi sammelan’ was also held and well-known poet Kashipuri Kundan gave an introduction of poet present. Kundan said that all the new poets will be linked with the society and they will be provided platform for present their talent. On this occasion DCC District President Baisakhuram Sahu, Tarachand Meghwani, Sanat Sharma were present as special guest.
