TK Shukla felicitated with silver crown

Dongargaon, Oct 12: In the 11th Chhattisgarh State-level Senior Men’s and Women’s Kho-Kho championship held at Gram Umarvahi from Oct 2-4, Chief guidance, convener, Joint Secretary Chhattisgarh Amateur Kho-Kho Sangh and Secretary District Amateur Kho-Kho Sangh, Rajnandgoan and National Referee of Kho-Kho Tarun Kumar Shukla was felicitated with silver crown and memento at the conclusion of state-level Kho-Kho championship at the hands of chief guest Bhagat Kumar Soni of Bhilai and all the villagers here on Sunday.
It is worthwhile to mention here that Tarun Kumar Shukla, R/o Gram Latmeta (Navatola) of Churia block has been rendering selfless training in Kho-Kho to boys and girls of his village for last 20 years. TK Shukla has been rendering this service without any government help and purely through his own resources and by giving regular coaching to many such boys and girls, he has provided them opportunity to play at state and national level in Kho-Kho. It is worthwhile to mention here that under the guidance and leadership of Tarun Kumar Shukla, Kho-Kho Club is running in Gram Matekheda, Dhangaon, Umarvahi and Ghupsal and other such villages. In Gram Latmeta, there is group of around 60-70 state, national-level Kho-Kho players, who have been giving best of their performances and bringing laurels to the village. There are Kho-Kho players from region who have been trained by Preeti Patel and Tarun Shukla who got an opportunity to be part of Kho-Kho coaching camp of the Indian team twice and have presented their claim to be part of the Indian team. Tarun Kumar Shukla himself has played the role of National Referee in the national championship.

He is the only official from Chhattisgarh to have represented in the International Kho-Kho Officials Seminar held in Ajmer Rajasthan and he had also represented Chhattisgarh in the National Technical Officials Training Programme by Manav Rachana University Faridabad. The list of achievements of TK Shukla for Kho-Kho is very long and it was for the same that he was felicitated on this dais with a crown.
In this programme President organising samiti Shekh Nizamuddin, Naresh Shukla, Uttam Barsagde, Firoz Rehman, Sachin Dongre, Hariram Sahu, Ram Patel, Narad Sahu, Bharat Kotelkar, and other well-wishers of TK Shukla have extended his best wishes and greetings for the same.
