Three shopkeepers fined for selling banned plastic items

Bhilai, Mar 06: As per the direction of Durg Commissioner Haresh Mandawi, three teams from Health Department took action against 18 people who did not wear masks and 03 people who sold banned plastics at different places. A penalty of Rs 1350 was recovered in the action taken.
The health team warned those not wearing masks to remember that the effect of corona is not over and so wearing mask is necessary while moving in public place and also stressed on the need to use sanitizers.
The sellers of banned plastic were also warned that if they were found selling again, double amount will be charged as penalty and strict action will be taken.
Sanitary Inspector Jasvir Singh Bhuwal, Rajendra Sarate, and Suresh Bharti who led the teams took action against those who did not wear masks in their respective areas. Apart from this, a penalty of Rs 1000 was imposed on Jain Plastics, Ra 150 on Arham Toast and Rs 200 on Shree Ananj Bhandar at Potia Square.
